RAM (Random Access Memory )

RAM is a moniker for Random Access Memory. It acts as a short-term memory much like the human brain to store a wealth of information. The RAM is accessible through the computer's brain called the CPU which stands for Central Processing Unit. RAM has the capability of being retrieved only while a computer is on. When the computer is turned off the RAM is no longer accessible. ROM chips along with BIOS (computer boot firmware) allows the RAM information to be retrievable when the computer is rebooted.

RAM size and Location on the Computer System

Most computers come equipped with 256 million bytes of RAM already on the computer. Additional RAM can be placed within the system. However, there is usually a limitation placed upon just how much RAM can be added to a computer system. RAM is not random as its name would lead one to believe. The RAM is highly controlled and the storage can be directly ascertained. There is a decisive method that RAM utilizes to make its memory available to certain areas of the computer system.

Forms for RAM

RAM is what is known as discrete microchips which means that it is separate. An additional form of RAM is modules which attach into outlets in the motherboard of the computer. A network of electrical pathways to the processor allows the connection to spark for the RAM.

Why is RAM Important

RAM serves the very important function of retrieving information that must be accessed in a quick manner. This operation is very similar to the human brain's function in retrieving necessary facts from short term memory. Open files and the utilization of applications on a computer systems requires the assistance of RAM. Users that play alot of video games with detailed graphics or keep alot of folders open while on their computer, will need the use of additional RAM. This will allow them to better access the information they need when the time comes. RAM is held onto a limited time, but it allows the information to come up quickly and without much fuss on the part of the computer user.

Tips For Selecting The Right Notebook Computer

These days it is very common to find people taking their notebook computers with them everywhere they go. Having one can be very convenient and make working on the go less of a hassle. It can be confusing though to figure out which one you should buy because the market is saturated with different brands and models of notebook computers.

Before you go out and look at notebook computers write down what your needs are. This will help you narrow down your selection. How often will you be taking the notebook computer with you? If you plan to use it often when you travel for work or for other activities you want one with a long battery life and that is very light. You also want one with a good warranty in case it gets damaged.

The size of the screen is important. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to complete work on a screen that is so small you get distracted from what you are trying to accomplish with it. Think about the different features you are going to need for your notebook computer. It doesn’t make sense to pay for features you won’t every use. Some of your options include a memory card and a disk drive.

It is very important to consider the amount of RAM you will need for your notebook computer. You definitely don’t want to be limited in the amount of work you can perform on it because you don’t have enough memory.

Once you have decided all the components of a notebook computer you need you are ready to take a look at what is available on the market that offers those items. You can compare prices as well as read consumer reviews to help you make the right purchase.

Technology For Travelers

If you’re a tech head like me then choosing the right bits if kit to take with you traveling is a very important decision. I like to be wired into the world and well entertained when I am sitting on a 12 hour train ride or some hotel room on a stopover – it makes the time pass much faster and I can actually get some stuff done. But what should you consider packing for your trek and how can you possibly fit it all in?

As with any type of packing for travel, selecting which pieces of technology to take with you should be determined by weight, size and utility. Less is more! That means taking the smallest and lightest of everything you need.

If you want some computing power on your travels, then a laptop would be the obvious choice. But do you need all the computing power that a laptop can give you or could you escape with just using a tablet or a PDA? When you are lugging around 6 pounds of laptop for miles and miles, the thought of a nice little 200 gram PDA become mighty attractive. If word processing the main reason for taking a computer then consider a PDA with a fold out keyboard. You will be thankful for the weight and space it saves. Alternatively some tablets are more powerful than many laptops and offer the same software options so that might be one other consideration.

Your camera is another consideration. Do you need the 35mm SLR with 4 spare lenses? Unless you are going somewhere that justifies the weight of that, then you might be better off with any of the myriad of small digital cameras available on the market. Many of the newer models are up around the 6 megapixel and above mark meaning the quality of shots is getting very good.

If you desperately need music, then consider any type of MP3 player that can double as a digital photo storage device. IPods are a good choice and nice and light and the fact that you can store any data such as digital photos on them means you can cut down on packing other storage devices.

One of the big things that you are really going to need for all of your gadgets is insurance. Aside from the fact that a person with a lot of gadgets has a lot more to lose when they get robbed, stuff also gets knocked around a lot when you travel. Make sure you get insurance that covers you for the cost of a new replacement of anything that is lost, damaged or stolen.

A few minor considerations at the time of purchase can save a traveler a lot of heartache with gadgets. If you can describe your gear as small, light, useful and insured then you should have a pleasant trip!

How to find Cheap Laptop

Ah yes, I want a laptop but I am not going to spend a couple of thousand dollars for one. Well guess what you don't have to. Laptop prices have come down dramatically over the past year alone and they will continue to do so as technology advances. But the trick here is to find good quality laptops that fit your needs at the cheapest prices available today.

I would say that there probably is a store near you right now that has cheap laptop computers. In fact, many stores already have them. The reason being, like any other new product, laptops were once considered the cream of the crop in the computer world which made them very expensive. However, all that has changed now. Laptops are a dime a dozen! The hand held digital assistants, Bluetooth cell phones and tablet pads are the new rage making laptop computers cheap.

Now, don't get me wrong, this does not mean that they are cheaply made. Thanks to the wonders of the technological cycle, laptop computers are decreasing in price as their capabilities rise. Of course, there are the latest and greatest monsters out there that are made for gaming or high powered multimedia applications and these babies still cost a pretty penny.

But for the average user, you can find cheap laptop computers that provide all the power you need and then some. Every major manufacturer out there, there have lower end and intermediate models that come with more than enough speed and usability.
Now here is the key to finding the right cheap computer laptop for you, and that is to figure out exactly what you need it for.
Are you going to use it mainly for surfing the web or word processing? Do you need it to work from home or mainly to save your MP3 and digital pictures?

OK, so now you have an idea of what you want to use your laptop for. Now let’s go out shopping and compare. You can visit any of the top manufacturer’s websites or visit your local store and find their low end or intermediate models that may suit your needs. The three top components of a computer you want to look for is the hard drive size, memory, and processor speeds and takes notes of each model you find on each component and model.

The hard drive, you can consider this the brain of your computer; this is where all your files, applications and folders are stored. If you plan on using your computer for MP3 and digital pictures your hard drive should be large since these files are usually very large. I personally would look at 1000 GB as minimum.

Next would be the memory, memory can be considered the thought processes of your computer. As a minimum I would look at 8 GB but if you plan on using your laptop for gaming of course this should be much larger, in the area of 1 to 2 GB. Now memory is used whenever a program or application is running. So the more memory you have the faster your computer can process the program.

And finally your processor, now your processor is just that it processes all the inner workings of how each program runs. The faster the processor is, the faster the program instructions are processed. Again if you’re looking for a laptop for gaming uses you want your processor with high speeds 2 GHz or more. For other uses you can go less.

Other parts of the computer to also consider are the ports involved that can connect your computer to your digital camera or your MP3 player for example. You also want to check that your laptop has wireless and broadband connectivity. Many cheap computer laptops today already come with this but you want to make sure or you will have to pay additional, for example, a wireless card to install in your laptop to have this capability.

Making Money Using The Computer

There is a saying that goes, “money does not come trees.” Everybody knows that and if there is not enough, the person has to do something about it. An employee can ask for a raise, the individual can get a second job or even transfer to one that pays more.

If the employee has a family, it will be hard to just quit and hope that tomorrow there is a new company to report to. It wouldn’t hurt to look around first before leaving but since an application takes months to process, there are some ways to make a few extra bucks.

Studies show that most American homes have a computer. Instead of playing games, the person can use this to make some money by selling some items through EBay and make some money.

Instead of coursing through another website who gets a certain percentage for every item sold or bought, those who are good with computers can even make one to get more profit. Someone skilled can put up the website or hire someone to do it then just learn how to keep it running.

Another will be to participate in online surveys. More than a hundred companies need the opinion of the consumer before launching a product into the market. The person will not become a millionaire doing this but at least there is additional money for other expenses.

Blogging is another great way to make money. The individual is able to express one’s opinion regarding certain issues and if there is a lot of traffic, people will want to advertise in the blog site. A portion of the revenue will be used to maintain and upgrade the site while the rest can be used for other things.

Those who love to get paid can also get money by writing about certain topics. There are companies who need talented professionals to do some research and get paid for each assignment. The more the person does, the more money is made.

Networking is another great idea. The entrepreneur may sell a few items at first but when there are people who are already under one’s umbrella, it is time to kick back and relax because money will come in the form of sales commissions.

Another way to make money is to offer computer repair services to friends and neighbors. The customer will be able to save money by hiring someone that the person knows instead of the word of someone from the shop.

There was a time that an individual who wanted to invest in stocks or in foreign exchange had to deal with a broker. Since it is hard to call the specialist, those who want to play in the money market can still do it by creating an account online for faster results.

The person should just be updated on the current market trends to make good decisions especially when is the best time to buy and sell.

The amount of money made by using the computer is enormous. The person may have to shell out a little cash to upgrade the system or become a member of certain sites but it is worth every penny when the money starts coming in. This sideline can pay off by learning the different strategies that are proven to make it work.

Network Hardware Basics

Even a basic knowledge of networking is a major asset in today's world. Even if you don't want to get into the details of the subject, the ability to connect your computer to other computers, a router or a peripheral will save you a lot of headaches. It is also a good idea to have a basic knowledge of the equipment you need and what it does. In this article we look at the basic building blocks of a computer network and explain what the various pieces of hardware do.

Of course, any network will need at computers. If you are very new to the subject a good first lesson would be to attempt to connect two computers either by Ethernet cable or wireless so that they can share information. If you can do this, you have created your first network.

However, when you add more computers, printers, scanners and other peripherals, as well as an internet connection, things get a lot more complicated. The average home network will have most or all of these components and business networks get infinitely more complex. So, here is a basic overview of the hardware needed to build a network.

Cable or wireless?

The most basic requirement of any network is that the various components are connected to each other. Here, there are two choices Cable or wireless Ethernet cable remains the faster of the two and remains an important building block of most networks, especially large business network where high data transfer speeds are essential.
That said the next generation of wireless is set to close the gap on ethernet cable in terms of speed, and offer a much greater range. Already, wireless is favored in smaller networks because it spares the expense and the mess of ethernet cables, and is easier and cheaper to maintain.

Modems

Although networks can exist without being connected to the internet, it is rare in today's world. And for a network to connect to the internet a modem is required. Most modern home or small business networks will use a cable/ADSL modem. These usually provide speeds of up to 10 Mbps by ethernet. However, in reality, very few internet service providers can provide a connection that even comes close to this speed. Ethernet modems are the norm these days, although USB modems do exist and dial-up modems are still used, though rarely for networks.

Routers

A router is essential for all networks as it provides the connection between the Local Area Network (LAN), which is the home or small business network, and the Wide Area Network (WAN), usually the internet. A lot of home network will use a combined modem, router and switch which will allow the network to connect to the internet and allow any computers and peripherals on the network to communicate with each other. In very large business networks the router (or sometimes a gateway is used) and switch will be individual hardware devices.

Switches and hubs

There is often a lot of confusion about the difference between switches and hubs. Both allow computers and devices within a network to communicate with each other, but there are some significant differences between them. Of the two, switches are by far the better, and more expensive, option. Switches are essential for larger networks because they make the transfer of information much more efficient.

When a switch receives data from a computer or peripheral it can determine which device/s on the network on the network the data is intended for, and will only send it to its intended destination. This will not be noticed on a small home network but can make a big difference on larger networks.

A hub is a simpler device that can connect anywhere between four and 24 devices. The data will pass through the hub but it the hub will not interfere with the data in any way. Therefore, data sent through a hub will be sent to, and can be accessed by, all devices on a network.

Firewalls

Hardware firewall devices are not really necessary for home networks. The firewall software on your individual computers' operating systems' firewalls, and the security options provided by your router, should be more than enough to protect your network.

However, for business networks that are storing large amounts of sensitive information a good hardware firewall is essential. All information from outside the network must pass through this before reaching the network's main switch. If properly configured by a network professional this should provide all the security a business needs. Further software firewall protection within the network is also an option to secure the network further.

How To Make Children Smart Computer

Although research on the use of computers in education plods along slowly compared to the progression of the technology itself, there are already positive correlations between children’s education and computer use. If employed effectively and within a comprehensive educational program, computers can: help a student increase critical thinking skills, allow for customization and learning based on the individual students’ interests and pre-existing knowledge, aid in memorization through interactivity, enhances collaboration among students who are not in the same geographical location, and can simulate complex or real-life tasks. In short, programs that incorporate computer use and technology for learning are many times, more effective than instruction that does not.

The use of computers for learning does not need to stop once school lets out. Creating a home “computer learning center” for your child will create an environment that encourages learning outside of the classroom. To create an educational home computer environment, you will need to do the following:

The physical computer workstation your child will need a comfortable computer desk. Because children are smaller than adults with a shorter reach, it’s important to find a desk that’s ergonomically designed to fit his/her body. We found several high-qualities, affordable options at Versa Products, Inc. (an American manufacturer or classroom tables with adjustable heights and various desktop sizes that sells direct to the public). They will also need a comfortable chair.

Buy a computer. If this isn’t a computer that will be shared by the whole family (for example to be used for financial management, online shopping, etc.), don’t spend a lot of money. The computer needs to be reasonably fast with a high speed internet connection, but it doesn’t need extra hard drive storage space or other fancy features available for exorbitant prices.

Make the computer internet-safe. Your child will need internet access for research purposes and email. The internet allows children to explore new places and learn things they wouldn’t otherwise. But the internet can also be a dangerous place for a child with the prevalence of easily accessible adult websites, chat rooms, etc. Take time block inappropriate sites, create filters, and actively monitor the history of the sites visited after your child is done with his/her session on a daily basis.

Although the computer is a tool to enhance education and exploration, too much of even a good thing can reduce its benefits. Children still need to be involved in group activities with other children and adults (in-person) as well as physical activities and non-computer play. The American Heart Association suggests limiting computer activities at home to no more than two hours per day. If those two hours are well spent doing internet research or playing educational games, that amount of time should be sufficient. Encourage your children’s learning by taking an interest in their progress on games and becoming involved in conversation about interesting topics they’ve discovered.

Open Source Software

If you've spent any lengthy amount of time on the Internet, you've probably heard of open source software but might not have fully understood what it is and why it even exists.  This article will describe this recent phenomenon and describe some of its benefits for the software using community.

In a nutshell, open source software is software made by everyone - for everyone. The hopes behind its development is that through its open access, it will evolve into something that represents the true desires of computer users. Through a wide network of user involvement, the software in question is enhanced and debugged without costs or administrative politics.

Traditionally, software is developed behind closed doors. A team of professional coders build it but the community at large isn't part of its conception. It's costly to produce and as you can probably guess, that cost is passed on to the end user: the consumer. Open source software on the other hand is free. Free to download, free to install, free to use, free to modify, and free to share.

Started over twenty years ago, it's a phenomenon that is gaining in both popularity and exposure. In its first conception, open source gave birth to the World Wide Web as we know it today. The Internet as a whole is the result of free permission to access the web, use the web, contribute to the web, and share the web with others. But it certainly hasn't stopped there. In the not too distant past, Netscape converted its once commercial version of its Navigator web browser to open source. And today, open source is venturing into the commercial realm as well.

At first thought, the idea of open source may sound just plain crazy to those who earn a living from software development. But the facts point to a different prediction. Open source software puts companies in a terrific position to re-brand and re-position themselves in a market that they may have not been able to reach before. In the business world, open source is all about image and when consumers witness corporations contributing (instead of selling) to the buying public, they gain big favor in the eyes of their users (plus tremendous opportunities to sell other items).

Inviting the public inside a product's development builds community and trust. It also sets the platform for increased reliability. Fans of open source programs are adamant about reliable software and highly criticize commercialized versions for being buggy and error-prone. Avid fans even proclaim commercialism is the cause of shoddy software.

Another benefit that open source brings to light is the speed at which its products are developed, enhanced, supported and distributed. This is because the people who regularly contribute to an open source product do so for unmotivated reasons (other than perhaps to feed the ego.) They're highly talented, they're available, and they care. Bringing money into any project can almost mean instant death. It can kill motivation, desire, and a true willingness to create a good product. In a commercial setting, participants work for a paycheck rather than for the product. And this is what puts open source projects far ahead of its monetized competition.

As a software user, this means you can contribute to an open source project as well, and help to develop it into a product that reflects your direct preferences. You aren't "stuck" using open source software the way you would be stuck using an expensive word processor or database. You can take the open source software as its programmers have and in essence, you are your own customer!
Perhaps at this point you're wondering where you can get in on this wonderful opportunity. There are plenty of open source opportunities sprinkled across the Internet and they can be easily found though any search engine. Google "open source project" and you'll be sure to find more resources than you can shake a stick at!

Computer Accessory

The spare room or a quiet corner can be a perfect place for productivity. To outfit your workspace, you might need to invest in some new hardware like a second computer, a bigger monitor or a high-quality printer. Once you've got your home computer set-up, you'll need to connect it to the Internet or network it to other computers and peripherals in the house. With a good grasp of the facts and a firm idea of your work habits, you'll be ready to make sensible choices for your home-made office.

• The Computer. Not everyone needs the same level of performance in a home office computer. You might use your computer primarily for word processing and email which requires little processing power. On the other hand, you may want more power to run database analysis, large spreadsheets or graphics applications. The type of work you do and your work load will determine whether you need a computer with a lot of brawn or just a little.

• Processor. A computer's processor or central processing Unit (CPU) is the engine that powers the device. The speed of the processor is called the clock speed which measures how fast the processor can carry out instructions. Speed is measured in MegaHertz (MHz) and is one measure of a computer's power. A typical home office Windows PC should have at minimum a 500 MHz processor. A power user would probably prefer 800 MHz or higher. If you know your computing needs are modest, and you want to save some money, an older machine with a slower processor is worth considering. When looking at an Apple Macintosh, keep in mind that you can't simply compare processor speeds with Windows machines, as the two types of computers have different system designs. Macs generally have lower processor speeds in MHz but don't let that fool you. Newer Macs like the iMac can definitely keep pace with PCs.

• Random Access Memory (RAM). When the computer is turned on, RAM is used to hold the operating system, applications and data that you're currently running. Information in RAM is rapidly available to the processor. When RAM fills up, the computer slows down because it now has to retrieve information from the slower hard drive. Imagine documents on your desk in front of you, readily at hand when you need them. But when your desktop is full, you have to file and retrieve documents elsewhere, which takes more time. The amount of RAM you need is influenced by the type of applications you use. Graphics programs like Adobe PhotoShop or Illustrator use a fair bit of memory. Word processing and spreadsheet programs use somewhat less memory. Users who like to multi-task and prefer having multiple applications running simultaneously will definitely want plenty of memory. More memory gives you a larger "workspace" and makes your computer perform faster with fewer glitches. A typical user needs at least 64 MB of RAM with 128 MB becoming the norm. In virtually all computers, you can expand the memory as you need more.

• Hard Drive. This is the computer's filing cabinet where all your applications and data are permanently stored. Most users can fit many years of productivity into a 6 to 10 GB hard drive. If you need to store a lot of information like several years of business records or image catalogues, then you may want a more spacious hard drive. Luckily, a bigger hard drive won't cost you that much extra. Alternately, you could invest in a removable storage drive.

• Expansion. It never hurts to get a system with room to grow, especially if you foresee your home office needs evolving. Find out how many RAM slots a system has and what the maximum amount of RAM is. Adding expansion cards to your system for 3D graphics or ethernet will increase the functionality of your computer. Look for a system with two or three free expansion slots and room for additional disk drives.

Maintain Your Computer For Your Good Job.

Maintaining your computer is extremely important – especially if you are an Internet Marketer.  As you know, without your computer, your business can come to a screeching halt. There are 4 important steps in which you can perform on a regular basis, to help protect your computer and your livelihood.

Invest in quality virus software

Be it Antivirus Software or another software program; protect yourself and your computer. I personally have set Antivirus to run every evening. It may seem like a hassle when you’re trying to get a project done, however, a 10 minute break in the action is far better than a one or two days of down time – and possible loss data, if your computer crashes.  And trust me; I’ve learned this from experience.

Invest in ad-aware software

I use Ad-Aware SE Personal – you can get the freeware version or the shareware version – the decision is yours. I’m currently using the freeware version, but will eventually be going to the paid version for added protection.  Anyway, Ad-Aware SE will protect your computer from such critters as, data-mining, scum ware, parasites, malwares, browser hijackers, to name just a few.

Always backup your data

Even though you don’t want to hear this, realize that your hard-drive can either go belly up or crash.  It is always better to have a backup – it shortens the down time.  Just a side note, when I was working in the corporate world, I had the misfortune of having a supervisor that was computer illiterate. My computer started to make sounds similar to that of a seagull.  I told my supervisor that I thought my hard-drive was going out. She did not want to believe me, and stated “We do not have the money in our budget for a hard-drive”. I found that to be a rather crass remark and waited nervously for my hard-drive to make its exit.  To make a long story short, two days later, I get a cryptic statement flashing on my screen that said “Back up your Hard-Drive - Error” -- than my hard-drive crashed and died.  Amazing, they did have $60 in their little old budget to get a new hard-drive.  Now, how much do you suppose my supervisor’s statement cost the company?

Maintenance

Always clean out your temporary Internet files.  It uses up memory! To clear out your temporary Internet files do the following:
  1. Open up your Internet connection.
  2. Click on Tools, then Internet Options.
  3. Under the General Section you should see a section labeled “Temporary Internet Files”
  4. Click on the button that says Delete Cookies, and then the button that says Delete Files. When you click on delete files, a box will open up and will ask you if you want to also delete off-line files – check that box, as well. Within the General Section you should also see a section called History.  I decrease the number of days that I hold on to the pages that I visited. Again, this helps to save memory.
These simple maintenance tips can keep your computer clean and protected, which is extremely important when you’re making your living on the Internet.

You Got To Protect Your Computer

These days it is a must to have a good, reliable virus protection program. There happens to be a many good free virus protection software packages out on the internet today. The only way to protect our pc today is using software that acts like a antidote to the disease. By using this software you can take preventive measures of stopping the disease before it infects the system.

Removable media such as cds, floppy disks, usb keys that are infected and used in another system can carry the virus and infect the other machine. If you computer is infected with a virus you will need to remove the virus as soon as possible otherwise it can infect the system completely and spread to others. If a computer is infected by a computer virus the computer needs to be scanned by virus scanning software. When surfing the internet most likely you been infected with a Trojan, virus, or some type of spyware, according to many virus detection agencies, the unprotected PC is infected on average within 20 minutes of normal internet usage. Many systems get infected every day, you must take safety measures or your system might get infected, and the virus might corrupt your data on your system. Five Tips To Best Computer Buy

Buying a new computer can become difficult decide these days as many of us tend to get confused or simply don’t know how to choose the best computer from the wide range available. Here are five tips to best computer buy.

1. You need to know where you will be using your computer from. Do you plan to use it at home, or do you travel with business often? After you answer this question you know if you want a desktop computer or a notebook.

2. Now it’s time to determine what will you be using the computer for. Are you buying it for your kid to play video games, watch movies or do you plan to use it for work or internet surfing? Of course you can buy a computer and use it for all of those things but for example if you plan to use it just for business then you needn’t buy a computer with the best video card on the market.

3. The next thing to do is determine your budget. There is a wide range of both desktop and notebook computers to choose from so they can cover any budget. Desktop computers can cost anywhere between $400 and $2000 (Note that many sites don’t list the monitor in the cost, so read carefully before clicking the checkout button), while notebooks between $800 - $2000+. Decide on how much money are you willing to spend and continue to the next step.

4. Are you going to store photos, Microsoft Office documents, mp3 files, video files etc.? You need to think about this to determine what hard drive your computer needs. If you’ll be using it to store photos and Office files then you need something in the range of 60GB but no more. If you plan to store many video and audio files then a 220GB hard drive would be more appropriate.

5. Buy a ready made computer or create your new computer by selecting all the parts yourself? In my opinion, if you’re a person who changes their computer often then buying a ready made one is the perfect choice for you. If you don’t plan on changing the computer then it would be wise to create it yourself at a local store or even on some sites on the internet. This is because all the big computer or small computer companies use proprietary components and if you buy a ready made one it is usually harder to upgrade later.

Change new computer very important thing to consider, which many people overlook, is how often do you replace your computer? This is very important because most new computers you will waste big money If you change your computer often it.

What to look out for on the Internet is the privacy of the login service. Let's follow me, I have shown you five things not to do when using the public internet.

1. Does not press "remember me" or "remember password"

Do not press "remember me" or "remember password" at public computer and do not log-in to public financial transactions. Public computers that are computers that provides services to the general public such as in the library, coffee shop, internet cafe. There is a risk of trapping the keyboard and snooping on ID and Password by the shopkeeper or by the user who secretly installed the program on the computer. If only you missed may be saved and secretly used. Public computer it may store monitor data that you visit, including cookies. This computer data can be faked by anyone else. If you visit the site you used.

2. Do not use free Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN) without encryption.

Be careful if you are thinking of making a financial transaction on this type of network without WPA or WEP in standard encryption. The information should be confidential to you. It may be trapped from a computer in the radius of Wi-Fi in that area.

3. Do not tell your password to others.

You have no way of knowing when your password will be used by other users or used in the offense if someone impersonates you to commit an offense. You will prove that you are not wrong. Life would be hard for a long time. Good way should not tell your password to someone or accidentally write on paper.

4. Do not allow others to use your computer or smartphone to access the Internet

If your computer or smartphone remembers user IDs and passwords for convenience of data logging or Internet access. This does not differ from the first risk. That is equal to telling the password to others. Then, he takes to commit an offence.

5. Do not install a wireless network at home or at work without user authentication and encryption

Doing this allows people on the street or at home to join your wireless network. How do you know? The people who walk your house or office attached to the wireless LAN is not a villain. That may come to your internet to commit the offense and cannot catch the offender.

All of these are the reasons for using the Internet through public access points. How to take care of the smartphone not to become a blast.

How to take care of the smartphone not to become a blast Today, smartphones have become indispensable in our everyday lives. One day it may become a time bomb that can be dangerous at any time. In case the smartphone is transformed into a mobile explosion, this is not a production error. But, it is not careful for use.

Why smartphone to bomb

Most smartphones or mobile phones use lithium-ion batteries. Itself is high density and has a small memory and has a low discharge rate. This type of battery is commonly used as a rechargeable battery for portable devices. The built-in battery contains cells that contain conductors and electrodes. If there is a short circuit, the circuit will be hot until the explosion. This may be due to production errors or the problem from touch or near heat.

Do not place your smartphone under the pillow.

It's not a good idea to put a smartphone under a pillow because thinking a smartphone is close can take to be easy, Especially if you charge the battery and put it under the pillow, Because there is a continuous heat under the pillow and the battery want to be cooled. Even putting on the bed is still dangerous because the bed will absorb heat should be placed in a well-ventilated place.

Use a standard charger.

The charger that comes with the smartphone, how can you are sure that the charger is of a quality? The lithium battery should be at 2.5-3.65 V. This is the appropriate voltage that the phone can get. If you buy a standard charger you will not worry about these things, but if it is a cheap charger. The risk is increased.

Avoid the heat.

Avoid using your smartphone in a hot place for long periods of time, such as in the sun. Or leave it in the car in the sun all day. And do not charge the smartphone in temperatures above 45 ° C. It should be charged in temperatures between 5-45 ° C, Charging at lower temperatures is something to avoid.

Do not use too many applications at once.

Using applications at the same time, too much will heat up the smartphone because each application is running simultaneously, such as the graphics card processing system, GPS and more, the more applications are very active. The battery will be activated more should use the app, but fit and close the app as soon as the smartphone feel too hot.

The phone case is very thick.

Case of smartphone is thick may help protect your smartphone. Or make it look beautiful. It is not recommended to using too thick cases because the case is too thick to accumulate heat in the machine. This will help accelerate the heat of the machine itself.

We should use smart phones with caution, do not use too much smartphone. Charge the battery of the smartphone should be done with caution should turn off the smartphone before bed, to extend the Life of Your Smartphone and not harm ourselves and others.

Social Networking Doesn't Work Anymore?

"Social network is broken", now that sounds quite vague, doesn't it? Social network is the most happening thing today over the Internet. There are hundreds of websites who are trying harder each day to bring millions of people in touch with each other.

The most generic options of socializing are through Myspace, blogs, forums, IM / e-mail, phone and even real meetings. They provide the opportunity for both virtual and real meetings.
Many people say that after 18 months of experimenting with websites like RYZE, it is back to square one. You are back to where you initially began.

It is quite disheartening at times and that is how networks really get broken. The general question that people have started asking is that how broken is the networking? There are so many websites like Myspace and RYZE that you have to pinch yourself and ask which one to use to contact someone. The next most obvious question is that If there are more than one such website, then which would be the best messaging system? Confusion galore!

The Black Book Guidelines

You might get a glimpse of similar websites if you do a search on Google. And you can also go in and register at some of them. The latest news is that most people who have done so probably don't remember at the end of the day, which ones they are in and which was the last one they left. So the absolute facts are that most of the time none of these social networks are going to be there on your desktop, unless you happen to have their page open. And then there are the exceptions in the form of Ecademy, Tribe and Flickr.

In either of the three, you will not get to know whether any of my friends are online or not. That is as distasteful as it can get. There are many people who have actually quit and more are on the way. These websites have failed miserably in providing the basic need of socializing and communicating by building networks.

So it's high time to refocus and try to bring in new functionalities and capabilities to the existing ones. The other option would be to come up with something very innovative and yet subtle. If you cannot communicate then the meaning is lost. There's a program, which is in the pipeline and is called Pmatch. It will be taken out for Nokia 3650 handset. Pmatch is innovative and groundbreaking. It allows 3650 users to find out about other people with similar interests without revealing their own personal information. Now that's technology at it's best.
